Age?

26

Where are you based?

Houston, Texas

How do you make a living?

Photography.

What camera do you use?

Nikon N80 or Contax T3 most of the time.

How has travel made an impact on your life?

It changes everything. Being on the road is so inspiring. There’s always new, refreshing things to see and capture.

What is your relationship to travel/adventure, and what does it mean to you?

I love it. Most of the time I’m a homebody, but then I get cabin fever and have to see new things. Then I come home to recharge. I’d say it’s a good, balanced relationship. 🙂

Sister in the stars – @jepssi

This was taken in my parents backyard in 2008. One of my first few photos I felt proud of.

Grainy roller rinks with Emma – @vauxdevil

If you’ve seen Beyonce’s music video “Blow,” then this place should look familiar to you. When Emma and I got there, we were the only people there so we got to do whatever we wanted. I love when that happens.

Blues and Birds in Texas

I was in the backseat while my parents were driving, and we saw these birds swarming over the side of the freeway. Luckily, my dad went out of his way to pul over so I could photograph them.

With Lauryn at Petrified Forest National Park – @laurynholmquist

We were driving from Texas to Los Angeles and saw a sign for a Petrified forest in Arizona. The name itself got our attention, but when we got there, tears filled our eyes. Pictures don’t do it justice, this place was so beautiful.

Balos beach, Crete, Greece and my forever – @natebroussard

My husband and I went to Crete, and Santorini Greece last year for our honeymoon. We chose not to have a marriage ceremony so we could use that money to travel, and it was so worth it. I’ve never seen blues like the blues in Greece.

Seagulls by the sea – @natebroussard

Whenever we go to the beach, It is a must to buy bread or chips so we can feed the seagulls. I love photographing them flying all around us, especially when the sun is rising.

Color beams by the pier – @sara_hiromi

This was for a Sabrina Tach campaign last year. The sun was setting, and the colors from the pier were shining onto the ocean. I could have stared at the colors forever.

Handstands in Tulum – @natebroussard

This is the day Nathan proposed to me. The ocean and the sky were the same color, and everything was okay

Desert times with my muse – @laurynholmquist

After a long day shooting in the desert, we were on our way home and the sun was slowly setting beside us. We agreed to pull over, and luckily Lauryn had sheer fabric in her trunk. It just all worked out.
