In 2014 I spent two weeks camping in the Serengeti National Park and I had the opportunity to visit the base of Mount Kilimanjaro. It seemed so out of place to have this lifeless glacial peak surrounded by open planes and riverine forests teaming with wildlife.
As a solo traveller, I was really enjoying getting lost into filming. When you turn up to a place with a camera (I didn’t the first time), you observe things in a different way. You really look at everyone and what they’re doing
I’ve been circled by bullsharks, thrown over the falls at Teahupoo, ravaged by swarms of sea lice, bounced off the reef at Pipeline, had a jet ski thrown over my head in Australia…
Over than 3500 km traveled in 20 days, capturing landscapes from the bluish tones of Pamukkale to the warm ones of Cappadocia, the all passing by a great variation of colors, lights and weathers through six other cities.
For the “bootleg artist” known as Swampy, the world is an endless living canvas. Variations on his signature “swampdonkey” tag — the skull of some imaginary tusked creature — can be found in almost every imaginable setting across America: dilapidated skyscrapers in Oakland, Calif.; train trestles in Ciudad Juarez, Mexico; gallery walls in Atlanta or Brooklyn.
For the last 15 years large format photographer Joe Freeman has been exploring the energy and mystery of various existing and imagined terrains, primarily through black and white photography. Taylor Hawkins spent time documenting Joe out on his travels and created this beautiful short film.

Battling sub-zero degree temperatures on the ground near Trømso, Norway, the Spanish acrobatic paraglider pilot Horacio Llorens donned a wetsuit and battery-heated gloves, powered up his paramotor, and flatland-launched himself into an amazing night flight with the ethereal green waves of the Aurora Borealis in one of the most breathtaking displays of flight we’ve ever seen.

For the last two years I have been taking still photographs for a personal project entitled ‘It’s Better In The Wind,’ all the while collecting video footage from each ride as we traveled around the Western United States together.

In 2011, Foster Huntington created the #vanlife Instagram hashtag, and unexpectedly spawned hundreds of thousands of posts and a family of eager followers. It became a community of like-minded individuals who delight in the kind of adventure you can only get by traveling through the wilderness in a clunky, decades-old vehicle. In this documentary, we follow a group of #vanlife enthusiasts to uncover what the lifestyle means to them.
Time-lapse video resulting from a 15,000 km (almost 10,000 miles) long road trip and tens of thousands of images taken along the way over the last 5 months. The journey has covered all of Norway’s 19 counties, from the far south to the Russian border in the Northeast.
Benidorm is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Spain. A kind of wonderland in front of the Mediterranean Sea. The city has the second most skyscrapers per square metre after New York, and the population grows five-fold during the summer. We would never usually go to a place like that but suddenly this very fact makes this idea a good reason to go.
‘Home Ground’ is a short anthropological film exploring how two very different, but geographically close, cultures relate to one another within a striking and vast natural landscape. Featuring Siggi the Icelandic sailor and Dines the Greenlandic hunter.
An independent film by James Aiken
Absolutely stunning piece of video, Shot by Morgan Jouquand during the summer of 2014 on a trip from north to south of Portugal. The totally immersive video shows the parallel between wildlife and the urban environments
In summer 2011, Outdoor Research athlete Kyle Dempster took off on his bike across Kyrgyzstan with a couple mostly-accurate maps, a trailer full of climbing gear, and a vocabulary of 10 Kyrgyz words. He spent two months pedaling and pushing the bike more than 1200 km on roads of variable states of neglect, wading through wild rivers, dealing with corrupt military checkpoint staff, and soloing a handful of unclimbed alpine rock and mixed routes
In May, 2015, Josh Bergemann flew to Alaska with my bicycle and the dream of cycling around the world. Here is an overview of his first three months on the road.

Outback Australia. We wanted to go because we didn’t know what was out there. So we jumped in a car from Adelaide and headed North. A lot can happen when six people from different walks of life head to the middle of nowhere. Against our better judgment we decided to bite off more than we could probably chew. ‘Who cares’, we said. ‘Why not?’
A couple of weeks ago I came back from Morocco with just under two thousand photos. It was my first time in Africa, and my first time using a digital camera in a while. Not restricted to the 36 shots of a roll of film I typically limit myself to, I probably got carried away.
Untethered takes an immensely personal look straight into the heart of the slacklining and highlining community in Vancouver BC. It is an epic ride from beginning to the end, offering an inspiring look into a group that pursues the unthinkable.
